They really are this color!
These gorgeous and delicious rare vegetable varieties are my answer to the industrial food system. I grew them myself, respectfully and organically. The flavor was similar to their prosaic supermarket counterparts, the common green beans and the common orange carrots. Yet they were very different; richer, exotic, more fragrant, sweeter, earthier, even floral. These homegrown rare variety vegetables nourished far more fully, and in many more ways than I have ever experienced before.
